The Direct Care Worker II provides personal care and support services to consumers in an established personal care program. He or she helps ensure a safe, protected, clean, and orderly environment.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED, has completed any state-mandated training, can work a flexible schedule (including overtime when needed), must be bondable, must submit to random drug and alcohol testing, and must meet or exceed the minimum qualifications for the following background checks: Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Driving Record, and Professional and Personal Record Checks. Six months of previous experience providing personal care and support services to adults or seniors is preferred. In addition, he or she has a genuine desire to work with the elderly or disabled, has an answerable phone and internet access, reliable transportation, a valid driver''s license, a clean driving record, and current automobile insurance. Effective oral and written skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
